WITNESS ~ INSTRUCT ~ NURTURE / Volume 1 Issue 31 Dec 7, 2005 Hi ! In this issue, you'll read: A WORD FROM THE EDITOR - THIRTY FIRST EDITION Ephesians 6:10-12; "10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." It has been said that many warnings regarding the Pearl Harbor bombing were ignored, and many lives were lost as a result. In regards to the war with Satan, God's Word has been speaking warnings to us for many long years, but for some, history seems to be repeating itself. We are told very clearly to "put on the whole armor of God..." but so much of the time, we don't seem to take the warnings seriously. There is a purpose for each piece of the armor and we should be aware that our part in this war with Satan is very vital to our wearing it in its completeness. Ephesians 6:13-18; " As you can see from the Scripture above, most of the armor is defensive in nature. Its purpose is to protect us while we carry out our part in the war. What is our part, you ask? It is our responsibility "...to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand...pray[ing] always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints..." It is our responsibility to stand, watch and pray. And we should learn to take our responsibility seriously in order to avoid a spiritual Pearl Harbor in our lives or those lives within our circle of influence. Until next time...God bless you in all that you undertake! In Jesus Name, All editions of The W.I.N. E-Mail Newsletter are available on the Internet. To find them, navigate to Each morning, read a Scripture passage of your choice. Talk with the Lord as you read his Word. When you are finished, go back and select one or two verses that you believe the Lord is using to speak to your heart. Meditate thoughtfully and prayerfully on what he is saying to you. II. Bible Study In this edition, we will look at the third subsection of 1 Corinthians 7-10. In this subsection, Paul opens his heart and shares his attitude to ministry as an example of how the Corinthian Christians should behave. This chapter also addresses the divisions that had arisen within the Corinthian Church in regard to apostolic ministry (note 1:10-12; 3:1-23; 4:1-21). Read chapter 9 and answer for yourself the questions associated with it. Type out your answers (or jot them down on a piece of paper) and place in your Bible for further medication and study. Read 1 Corinthians 9:1-14 1. What did Paul consider the seal of his apostleship in the Lord? (9:1-2). Read 1 Corinthians 9:15-23 1. What is the "boast" that Paul could potentially rely on? (9:15). Read 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 1. What two Olympic sports did Paul use to illustrate his attitude to life and ministry? (9:24-27). III. Memory Verse Here are a few suggestions that may help you to memorize your memory verses: 1. Ask the Lord to help you remember his Word (see John 14:26). 2. Use the version of the Bible you are most familiar with. What you normally read in your Bible is what you need to be memorizing. 3. Don't just memorize the contents of the verse; memorize its "address" (the verse reference) as well. You can do this by following this pattern: Step 1: reference; Step 2: verse content; Step 3: reference. Then repeat steps 1-3. Note that you are quoting the reference twice as many times as you quote the actual verse content. This gives the verse a clear "reference tag." 4. After you have read your memory verse out aloud several times, try going through your memory verse without reading your computer screen. 5. Look up your memory verse in your Bible. Look at its immediate context and read the verses that come before and after your memory verse. 6. Print out your memory verse or jot it down on a piece of paper. Take this paper with you when you go to work or do other daily activities. Meditate on the meaning of the verse throughout the day. 7. During your noon appointment with the Lord, take out your memory verse and go over it again. Talk to the Lord about what this verse means to you personally. 8. In the evening (at either your evening study or your evening devotions), see if you can quote your memory verse from memory. Then, without looking at the memory verse itself, see if you can find it in your Bible. 9. The next day, before you begin committing a new verse to memory, rehearse your previous day's memory verse and see if you can remember it (without cheating!). 10. Finally, at the end of the week (possibly on Sunday), collect all your week's memory verses, rehearse them and see if you can recall them without reading them. Spend a little extra time on any verses you have difficulty recalling. 11. Remember: Don't just memorize a verse. Put it into practice (James 1:22). It is not being able to quote a verse from memory that counts. It is His Word abiding in your heart that counts (John 15:7). When you actually apply a verse consistently to your daily life; that is when you truly know that verse! This article is Copyright © 1999, The Online Bible College. In the month of November I was in the presence of the Lord seeking His plans and projects for the year 2006. I am 50 years old now. But As Caleb said I feel I can do all things through Jesus who enables me. I am writing this letter to share with you the new vision and mission I had from the Lord. This is Kids’ City. “A city for God’s own Children”. Bible says every child is created wonderfully and awesome. But today millions of kids are aborted, abused and killed . We have to do our best to save these kids and raise them in the love of God. They are God’s future generation. They are the future kings and prophets. Kids’ City will be a City with 100 Mercy homes and 1000 kids with their parents. 1. We plan to buy 5 or more acres of land. This will be: 1) A place where hurting, helpless and hopeless kids will come to receive hope. Please send your comments and suggestions. EDITOR'S NOTE: If you would like to make comments or ask questions regarding this project, you may write to Pastor Daniel at this e-mail address: If you would like to be a part of this visionary project by donating financially, please make your check payable to Freedom Covenant Global Ministries, or FCGM, and mark the reference line, Voice of Gospel, India. 100% of your contribution will be forwarded to Pastor Daniel for this project.
